Event Highlights

The celebration was organized into two distinct segments:

1. Cultural Exhibition (Blatten Geta Hiruy Hall)

  • Art Exhibition: Artworks honoring the patriotism and bravery of Ethiopia’s heroes were put on display.
  • Archival Showcase: A curated selection of historical documents provided by the National Archives and Library Service.
  • Market Corner: Attendees explored pop-up stalls featuring traditional clothing, commemorative pins, and historical books.

2. Official Ceremony & Panel Discussion (13th Floor)

  • Opening Remarks: Featuring welcome addresses from the Foundation’s General Manager, a representative of the Royal Family, and Lij Daniel Jote Mesfin.
  • Intellectual Discussion: Moderated panel discussions featuring notable scholars and public figures Mr. Tilahun Tasew, Dr. Alula Pankhurst, journalist Salsawit Baynesagn, and author/journalist Tibebu Bekele delving into the historical legacy and modern significance of Victory Day.
  • Live Performance: The official program concluded with a memorable live musical performance by Ras Keenteseb.
